Avios.com is currently offering an interesting little deal – travel next weekend, and certain flights will cost 50% less Avios than normal.

You need to book by 12 November. This makes travel from London to the select discounted destinations, listed as follows, distinctly better value:

While the terms and conditions are silent on the point, it does seem that the promo extends in certain cases to Friday and Monday as well, so have a good look at “long weekend” options if any of the destinations interest you.

Crucially, the European destinations are subject to the £35 Reward Flight Saver (a cap on the taxes and fees of just £35), so the 50% Avios saving makes them a really good deal in all cases.

Reward Flight Saver does not apply to the US flights. As such, with taxes and fees of around £317, plus the Avios spend, it’s worth comparing the price of a cash ticket before you commit to buying here.
